Speaking of bold forms in concrete – this has got to be one of the most popular ones. A 10,000 sq ft building with a 74 metre! span across a public plaza. It is a standout on Sao Paulo’s ‘main street’ - Avenida Paulista, with high rises and business people all around. You’ll find all kinds of happenings going on below, like capoeira groups.

Absolutly beutiful brutalism. Love it. Reminds me of a project of mine… Do you know how long the free spanwidth are? Must be at least 30-40 meters. Would like to see the drawings of that building. Greetings from Sweden!

Well I guess that makes 3 of us that would like to see the structural drawings. There is a book on Lina Bo Bardi called ‘Subtle Substances’ – but I haven’t seen it yet. Perhaps something is in there
